The 5th eagerly awaited SOUTHDOWNS FOLK FESTIVAL takes place in Sunny Bognor Regis from Thursday 21st to Sunday 24th September 2017.
We've put together a really ‘wow’ line-up – with our super headliners STEVE KNIGHTLEY (Show of Hands), HOME SERVICE, SKERRYVORE and RICHARD DIGANCE, plus superb support from THE JIGANTICS, MEGSON, PHIL HENRY & HANNAH MARTIN, ALISTAIR GOODWIN BAND, FLOSSIE MALAVIALLE, SARAH McQUAID, BROOMDASHER and STEVE DAN MILLS with many more to come.

Steve Knightley is the songwriting force behind Show of Hands; widely acclaimed as the finest acoustic roots duo in England.
Friday 22 September - 7.30pm
Home Service was formed out of members of the Albion Band who had participated in what is often said to be the group's most successful album in its long history. These chaps make up one of the UKs greatest folk-rock bands.

Three times nominated in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and double winners of the Spiral Earth Awards Megson draw heavily on their Teesside heritage to create a truly unique brand of folk music.
SCHOOLS FESTIVAL CONCERT
Saturday 23 September, 1.30pm, Tickets £5
The schools participating are: St. Mary`s Catholic Primary, Rose Green Primary, South Bersted Primary, Nyewood Juniors and Southway Primary.
This project has a massed choir of approximately 150 children aged 7-9 learning songs in a folk idiom, culminating in this spectacular joint performance at the School’s Festival Concert.
The experience is at no cost to the children or schools, making it a totally inclusive opportunity, and is just one example of the ways West Sussex Music help schools develop their singing strategies and access to high quality music making.
Saturday 23 September - 7.30pm
A joyous multi-award winning Scottish band creating a ‘trad-rock-folk’ fusion for the 21st Century. They've spent the last decade ‘twisting the roots of tradition around their own inventions’; to wonderful effect.
With support from - THE ALISTAIR GOODWIN BAND
Alistair has a unique and wholly original talent. His live performances generate a dedicated following wherever and whenever he performs. His exceptional gift has attracted the collaboration of some of the finest up and coming musicians to create a sound that is extraordinarily rounded and full.
Sunday 24 September - 7.30pm
Richard is a BAFTA Nominated entertainer and a Gold Award recipient from The British Academy of Composers and Songwriters. Not many guitarists have played a duet with Queen's Brian May, worked with Steve Martin, played an acoustic set with Status Quo or performed at The London Palladium with the late Robin Williams... Richard has 3 million YouTube hits, 27 albums, a Golden Anniversary Tour and 50 years of songs and stories.
