Three times nominated in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and double winners of the Spiral Earth Awards Megson draw heavily on their Teesside heritage to create a truly unique brand of folk music.

SCHOOLS FESTIVAL CONCERT

Saturday 23 September, 1.30pm, Tickets £5

The schools participating are: St. Mary`s Catholic Primary, Rose Green Primary, South Bersted Primary, Nyewood Juniors and Southway Primary.

This project has a massed choir of approximately 150 children aged 7-9 learning songs in a folk idiom, culminating in this spectacular joint performance at the School’s Festival Concert.

The experience is at no cost to the children or schools, making it a totally inclusive opportunity, and is just one example of the ways West Sussex Music help schools develop their singing strategies and access to high quality music making.

SKERRYVORE

Saturday 23 September - 7.30pm

A joyous multi-award winning Scottish band creating a ‘trad-rock-folk’ fusion for the 21st Century. They've spent the last decade ‘twisting the roots of tradition around their own inventions’; to wonderful effect.
