After four years of touring and filming, West End and TV star Ben Richards is back in his home town for a very special, one night only performance. Singing his favourites songs from the Rat Pack to modern day classics, this one-off evening is set to be a fantastic night of entertainment.
Ben began his television career with guest roles in various British serials and in 2004, joined the regular cast of ITV drama Footballers’ Wives. He then went on to secure roles in Holby City and The Bill and in 2015, joined the cast of Channel 4’s Hollyoaks as sergeant Ben Bradley.
Ben has had an extensive career in musical theatre with countless leading roles in London’s West End and on tour including starring opposite Don Johnson in Guys and Dolls, playing Tony Manero in Saturday Night Fever at the London Palladium. the leading role of Jerry Lukowski in the London Cast of Broadway hit musical The Full Monty, and most recently starring in The Bodyguard opposite Beverley Knight at The Dominion Theatre, London.
Ben said: “I have always been impressed with the Alexandra Theatre. Local theatres like this one always have a special atmosphere.”
“The show is a one-off for my home town. I don’t have any plans to take it anywhere else. I just want to see how it is received.”
“I am really nervous. Usually you perform to an audience mostly full of strangers, but here the theatre will be filled with family and friends,” he said.
“I will be singing all the songs I love.”
And we can’t wait for this special concert!
